A new corporate name and logo for a strong brand!
As of April 17, 2009 the name data M Software GmbH has changed to become data M Sheet Metal Solutions GmbH. This renaming does not mean any changes in our legal corporate structure or any changes for you in our business dealings.

Changing our name is a logical consequence of growth in recent years. Our internationally focused corporate structure makes it necessary to reinforce the brand name "data M". The new name identifies our company clearly in the market in which it works.

In the past few years we have extended our business activities from those of a pure developer of top-of-the-market software for sheet metal working. In addition to CAD/CAM and CAE software solutions we offer in particular wide-ranging consulting and engineering services. These include design activities, analysis of reforming processes, or custom research and development in the field of roll forming (for example innovative "flexible roll forming"). The change in name is intended to reflect this expanded focus.

We will continue to be your dependable partner. Together we can strengthen the position of data M Sheet Metal Solutions GmbH as an innovative force in the development of new and ambitious sheet metal working solutions.

COPRA® MetalBender for AutoCAD 2009 and Inventor 2009 is now available:
Beside the technical necessary adjustments to the newest Inventor and AutoCAD versions from Autodesk, the functionality of COPRA® MetalBender TD·i was also extended.
The TD·i-Library is extended by the flexible pipe run (see picture).

Profiltechnik Söll moves ahead with data M:
With a roll scanner from data M, roll forming software and various other design and manufacturing modules, Profiltechnik Söll GmbH in Pausa,Vogtland has created a modern center for fabricating rollformed aluminum profiles and tubes. New roll scanner types:
COPRA® RollScanner 100-3 and COPRA® RollScanner 80-3:
The COPRA® RollScanner is a fully automatic measuring device for inspecting existing rolls quickly and accurate. It works contactless so it satisfies the rollforming industry’s big demand for a high-quality control system. There are two new versions available: type 100-3, which is for rolls that have a max. roll diameter of 280 mm and type 80-3 for rolls with a max. diameter of 200 mm. Both have the same wide functionality as type 200-3, but they are smaller (measures: 1mx0.8mx1.65m / weight: 600 kg) and cheaper. The COPRA® RollScanner can be handled very easily and doesn't require computer experience. The focus axis is standard for both versions, so the RollScanner is able to measure all kinds of rolls up to a weight of 150 kg.

New Release - COPRA® RF 2007 software version:
data M introduced the new software for roll forming "COPRA® RF 2007" at the EuroBlech 2006 in Hannover, Germany. New Lasercheck versions: 
COPRA® LaserCheck 6 and COPRA® LaserCheck TT available:
The new fully automatic laser-based bending angle measuring device for press brakes got reengineered and it is in the version 6 out now. The new features comprehend for example a higher-resolution USB-camera and a drive computer with Windows XP embedded without a disk memory. There are new features for operation of tandem-machines, a faster interface to the Delem control unit and the connection to Simotion with BendingOffice®. Revised is also the spring back measurement. The new system has a twice as high resolution, which allows you to get accurate measures, also when there are only small bending forces used. The LaserCheck TT is the new version for mounting in the upper die. Its mounting is like the one of a tool kit and it has an adapter for all other normal tool types.
